African young adults experience deeper conversion in ZimbabweLast year, twin sisters from Nairobi, Kenya, made a life-changing trip to Zimbabwe for the "Magis experience"—a 10 day program organized by the Jesuits for young people aged 18 to 35. Also called "Ignite Africa," the program is a pre-program to World Youth Day and designed to bring young people together for prayer, fellowship and service, exposing them to some of the key social, spiritual, ecological, and cultural issues affecting Africa today.
This homemade video, taken by the sisters, shows them going from Harare to Victoria (both in Zimbabwe), then to Livingston and to Lusaka (both in Zambia), then to Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) and finally to Nairobi (Kenya). It includes a stop at Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The sisters shared this video with Aleteia in hopes that it might inspire youth and young adults to have courage to step out into the unknown and to seek God.
