The reasons you do something are often as important as what you do.In this fifth video of the #ShareJesus Lenten social media project, Fr. Mike Schmitz, chaplain for Newman Catholic Campus Ministries at the University of Minnesota Duluth and Director of the Office of Youth Ministry for the Diocese of Duluth, says that the "why" of what we do is often as important as the "what." He goes on to talk about why Jesus went into the wilderness for 40 days to fast and pray. There was one big reason, and that reason can—in reverse—be the reason we embrace our Lenten sacrifices.
