“Whisper” app lets millennials talk anonymously about their faith, with some surprising results
The “Whisper” app for smartphones allows users to post anonymous confessions, comments or questions about any topic and discuss them with whoever happens to be listening/watching at the time.  As you’d expect, there are a lot of dark secrets being posted via the app, but some of the ‘secrets’ are actually heartwarming.  For example, check out these posts, in which some young atheists confess a secret attraction to the Faith, while young Catholics reveal the depths of their love for the Church.

Here are 23 “confessions” we found that just might give you hope for the next generation.

Whether Catholic or atheist, millennials clearly love Pope Francis :

I'm not even Catholic, but Pope Francis is probably my favorite person on the planet.

I'm  not Catholic  but I have to say I think this pope is a pretty cool dude and I hope he sticks around for a while.

I may not be religious but Pope Francis is one awesome BAMF.

Pope Francis is my hero

The pope is in my country and now make me miss it more. And make me want to go to church

The pope: trying to keep the faith in a faithless generation

This young unbeliever felt a strong pull to the faith, and is now following God’s call – regardless of the cost:

I'm agnostic but have started attending a Catholic Church and I'm falling in the with the faith. I don't think my Mom is very happy about it.

Some outside the faith have developed a devotion to the Rosary (meanwhile, we Catholics know Our Lady always leads those who seek her to her Son) …

I'm learning to pray the rosary even though I'm not religious. Rosary beads seem to comfort me.

Ive read the entire Bible a total of 146 times. I also pray once a day with rosary,  and i don't even go to church

I'm not Catholic but I feel a pull to pray the rosary

… while this young Catholic believer recognizes the spiritual battle being fought over us, and vows to keep doing her part:

Every time I pray the Rosary, I get bombarded with sinful thoughts and temptations. That just tells me the devil must REALLY hate it when I pray!

Some use the app to reach out for support during their faith journey:

Anyone want to teach me about the Catholic faith

I want to grow in my faith Catholic 17F

Others are just happy to be home:

I've been to every kind of church there is.  I'm falling in love with the Catholic Church again.

I decided to devote myself to Catholicism :)

I'm a gay Catholic man who has decided to follow Church teaching and live a chaste life.

Was a atheist converted to Catholic Church best decision I've made in my life

Whether these young people received the gift of faith from their families as children or found it on their own as adults, they all seem to share one thing: They are grateful and proud to be part of God’s Church, and they recognize how blessed they are because of it:

I'm Catholic. I love my religion because I know that my God loves me unquestionably and unconditionally, and He will always forgive me, no matter how terrible the fault.

Am Catholic,  there is full  joy and happiness.

The sacrament of confession is beautiful!

I'm proud to be a Catholic

i'm a catholic

Catholic :)
