For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also

An Indian woman looks on as she stands outside her house in the Kathputli Colony in New Delhi on December 20, 2016. The name Kathputli Colony comes from the Hindi word for Wooden Puppet, and it is an area inhabited by puppeteers, magicians, acrobats, dancers and musicians, mostly from the Indian state of Rajasthan. Kathputli is a slum with small alleyways, colourful but run down homes, and open drains, but the artists perform around the country for major hotels, lavish parties, weddings, and some travel the world with their craft. The residents continue to return to Kathputli despite the lack of sanitation and basic living conditions because of a strong sense of community. The area is under threat from demolition, according to media reports.
