For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven, including hugging a scholar of the middle ages.Medievalists, those scholars entirely devoted to the study of those (approximately) 10 centuries that run from the (alleged) Fall of the Roman Empire to the Italian Cinquecento and the Age of Discoveries, need and deserve some love. A tradition that started recently (in 2011, thanks to an Oxford student, Sarah Laseke) invites us to hug a medievalist, year after year, on March 31, the official #HugAMedievalistDay.
So, to all you medievalists out there, here you go!
