Each day focuses on a different event of her life or on a particular attribute of our heavenly Mother. On March 3, 2018, Pope Francis instituted a new day in the liturgical calendar dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is called the “Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church” and is to be celebrated on the Monday following Pentecost Sunday.

This day joins many other days in the universal calendar of the Roman Rite in honor of the Blessed Mother. Each focuses on a different event of her life or on a particular attribute, ultimately pointing to the marvelous work of the Holy Trinity.
