Pope Francis recognizes that the pandemic will keep many families from gathering together and hopes "that we will soon be able to overcome this trial."

Pope Francis has offered his best wishes for Lunar New Year, which begins this year on February 1, saying it's beautiful when families can gather together.

After praying the Sunday Angelus, the Holy Father shared his hopes for the celebrations in the Far East and other parts of the world, as the Year of the Tiger begins.
