The Super Bowl ended in style for the football champion!

While all eyes were on the two teams during Sunday's Super Bowl between the Rams and the Bengals, Van Jefferson's wife Samaria was probably hoping the game would speed up.

According to ABC News, Samaria Jefferson was at the stadium supporting her husband, and with all the excitement went into labor -- three days before the baby's due date. Thankfully she managed to wait until the end of the game before being rushed to the hospital, her husband dashing off to be by her side.

Samaria was prepared for this possibility and had given her husband strict instructions for what he should do on game day, according to The Athletic:

“I said, ‘You play, I’ll see you at the hospital afterwards.’ That’s what it is. I will never take that moment away from him. I want to see him glorify God on the field that day. Just like any other game, I’m going to be there this Sunday and I’m going to stay calm … and pray to God my water doesn’t break. I will be 40 weeks pregnant at the Super Bowl, supporting my husband 100 percent."

Although the wide receiver managed to help his team to victory with four catches, the real triumph of the night was his wife's impeccable timing. As the proud daddy shared during an Instagram Live: “It was a great day, bro. I got three prizes today — my wife, my son, and the Super Bowl."

And this beaming smile on this tweet shared by ESPN shows just how delighted the football champ is to have his son in his arms.

The pair, who met at high school, already share a 5-year-old daughter together, and with the little newborn arriving just in time, the football star will be able to continue celebrating his team's victory in style.
