Nothing helped the child calm down, until a member of the flight crew held him and rocked him to sleep.

The flight was only one hour long, between two cities in Brazil. It was also the first trip of 2-year-old Andrei and his family. As soon as the plane took off, the toddler became very agitated. He didn't want to put on his seat belt and he started crying inconsolably. Nothing seemed to help. Seeing the despair of the boy and his parents, the flight attendant decided to take action.

She gave the boy a bag of stickers to play with, but it didn't work. Then, in a gesture of empathy and love, she asked permission to take the child in her arms, and with affection and tenderness gently swayed him back and forth, softly caressing his head. The result: the child stopped crying, and even fell asleep in her arms.

A pastor who was on the flight filmed everything and posted it on social networks. The video went viral:

In an interview with TV Globo, the boy's father said: "I was very touched by the way she had that love and care for him."

The little boy's mother, who was also on the flight, was moved by the flight attendant's compassionate attitude. "It was our first plane trip and we didn't know what to do to make him stop crying. When she came, it was a feeling of relief, someone to help," she acknowledged.

On social media, the flight attendant's gesture was widely praised. "We need more people in the world like [her]; people who act with their heart," wrote one commenter. Another wrote, "This video warmed my heart and made me believe that there’s still hope for the world."
