Moses said to the people, "See, I have today set before you life and good, death and evil." (Deuteronomy 30:15)

The Bible is full of applicable passages that speak to our modern world. One in particular summarizes the Catholic Church's beliefs about abortion.

It comes from the book of Deuteronomy and is from a speech given by Moses to the people of Israel.

The Church clearly teaches that abortion is the killing of another human person. As a result, abortion is a matter of life and death.

God, through the Church, urges us to choose life, as Moses spoke to the people of Israel.

Life certainly isn't easy and every choice we encounter can be difficult to make. However, God has many blessings in store for us when we choose life and follow his path.
