Along with two young Portuguese pilgrims, Francis has "registered' for the Lisbon World Youth Day for next August
While Pope Francis has joked about there possibly being a new pope on the Throne of Peter by August of 2023, today he signed up for the World Youth Day to be held in Lisbon in that month.
After leading the midday Angelus this October 23, the Pope, joined by two young Portuguese pilgrims "registered" for the event on a tablet. The registration opens today.
The Pope urged young people around the world to sign up, saying that there, "we will rediscover the joy of fraternal embrace between peoples and between generations, which we need so much!"
