Baseball fan, James McIngvale, decided to place an astronomical $10 million bet on the Houston Astros winning the World Series on Sunday.
Thankfully, McIngvale's team came through making the popular "Mattress Mack" $75 million richer, according to Fox 26.
The bet was made through Caesars Sportsbook, whose Head of Sports, Ken Fuchs, shared: "What can we say? We just wrote the biggest check in sports betting history to Mattress Mack for $30,000,000. Would we do it all again? You bet."
Now Mack being Mack, the money will surely be put to good use. We've already reported on a number of his good deeds, which usually involve helping the under-privileged, or those in need.
And in the run up to the baseball World Series the philanthropist had not only given out 200 mattresses to first responders and veterans, he also offered his customers who bought mattresses at his Gallery Furniture store worth over $3,000 a refund if his baseball team came through at the weekend.
It seems that the 71-year-old uses as many opportunities as he can to do good. And sport is just another way to help others, as he shared: "Whatever we can do to make people's lives better even if it's through this magical game of baseball, we will."
While Mack's huge win has made the news, it's not quite so widely known how he might have had a little help through enlisting the Rally Nuns for some pre-game prayerful support, as baseball pitcher, Framber Valdez shared:
It's also interesting to note that Mack likes to share a post from Scripture every day, and today's quote from Psalms 37 shows his faith in a God that always has his back. And after his team's win, and his big payout that will benefit others, he's not wrong!
