Crowder puts Santa's elves in the spotlight for a new Christmas song with tongue-in-cheek humor and a smooth dancing beat.

Let’s talk about fairness
Elf awareness

For years, aside from seasonal carols, we’ve enjoyed Christmas songs that tell stories of Santa, Frosty, and Rudolph, but this year a new one is putting Santa’s elves in the spotlight. Crowder, the esteemed Christian rock star, has penned “The Elf Song,” a new Christmas tune that celebrates the North Pole’s workforce with a bit of tongue-in-cheek humor and fantastic beat made for dancing.

The tune opens up like a country song that’s lamenting the plight of disenfranchised laborers. The lyrics explain that the elves are going through extraordinary efforts to make their quotas by working six-day weeks for “candy cane wages” and putting in overtime to get Santa’s cookies. All the while, the elves are working with their “itty bitty pointed toed shoes on.”

Despite the extreme working conditions that elves face in getting millions of toys ready for Christmas, the tune is really cheerful. The music video does a great job of conveying the band’s holiday cheer, although they didn’t seem to be able to get any elves to turn out for it. Instead, it looks like the members of the band had their small children stand in for the elves, which they note in the song are between 2 and 4 feet tall. It’s understandable they couldn’t work with the North Pole’s schedule, as the elves are really busy this time of year.

This is just one track from Crowder’s new Christmas album, Milk and Cookies: A Merry Crowder Christmas. This fantastic Christmas album is loaded up with a bunch of original songs for the season with a few recognizable Christmas classics mixed in. He even got legendary country singer Ricky Skaggs to sing with him on “Go Tell It On the Mountain.”

According to Jubilee Cast, Crowder said of the album:

"I am feeling as festive and antsy as a kid on Christmas eve. I couldn't wait and wanted you to be the first to know -- Milk & Cookies: A Merry Crowder Christmas is out now! I hope this album brings you an abundance of joy and grateful remembrance this season!" He continues, "This album is festive, joyful, hopeful, and fun. It's all about the best gift ever - the miracle of Christmas! It's a magical story that changes everything."

Milk and Cookies is out now and available to hear on Spotify and YouTube, as well as just about every other streaming platform one could think of. Follow Crowder on his official website to learn more about this talented artist.
