When Jesus asks, But who do you say that I am?, it is Simon Peter who answers. Peter responds from what the heavenly Father has revealed to him throughout Peter’s daily encounter with God’s Son.

Peter’s answer — and ours — is, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God for me!
