5 Lessons on life from a boy on a staircase

Elizabeth Scalia - published on 09/12/17

Watch this video and it will put a great deal into perspective.

  1. Hard work has value, even if the payoff seems slight.
  2. Every life matters, and we’re all entitled to the life we have.
  3. Even more important than “doing” is being. What we can “do” matters less, in the end, than how we manage “being.”
  4. The fact that someone loves us reflects our intrinsic loveability. Since God loves us all, beyond our understanding, we are loveable. You are loveable, and so am I.
  5. Man, look at that smile!
