Watch actor Jonathan Roumie pray the Our Father in perfect Aramaic

Adding weight to his role, Roumie -- whom Aleteia had the pleasure to interview about what it was like to play the part of Jesus -- mastered some Aramaic, the language Jesus would have spoken; a language that is still spoken in parts of the Middle East today.

While carrying out a recent interview in London, the 47-year-old actor took a moment to recite the Our Father in the language that Jesus Himself would have used. It's rather spine tingling to hear the 40 seconds of the prayer Jesus taught us, and while the words are unfamiliar, the meaning is unmistakable.
